Blarney Castle & Gardens wanted a new and modern revamped website in order to reach more people and showcase everything that their 60-acre location has to offer, as not all visitors are aware of the entirety of the castle, gardens, shops, and cafes. They wanted to boost their sales in these unpopular locations and for upcoming events that are quiet.

As Blarney Castle & Gardens is already a world-famous attraction, we made sure that the new website will rake in more sales and not the other way. The clients themselves know the castle and gardens more than we do so we kept open communication and worked closely with them in order to put into fruition the visions and ideas they have for the website.

The more challenging part was the interactive map drawing and third-party shop implementation. Due to the vastness of the area, we understood that they wanted the visitors to plan their visit before coming to the place as the map would allow the visitors to see images and videos from the chosen location.


We were involved in the Fáilte to Ireland Digital that Delivers programme and in particular the Website Enhancement Option. We selected Irish Media Agency and they blew us away immediately with their fantastic proposal and really creative design ideas for our new website.

Throughout the whole process they were brilliant, unbelievable to deal with and in the end created for us a truly beautiful website. In order to meet their client’s goal of increased sales, we worked on implementing a great user experience to keep website visitors engaged and eventually move them towards booking a ticket and/or buying from the online shop.

A clean layout and great fonts and imagery were used across the page. Prominent placement of call to action by using a sticker header and just before the footer section so that even when the visitor comes to the bottom page, they won’t miss them.

We helped them build their brand strongly, expand to more audiences and get more traffic through keyword research and SEO.
